Density ("we," "us," or "the app") is a training app that helps you measure and improve your own performance. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. We built Density around a simple idea — your training data is yours, and we treat it that way.
Information we collect
- Account information — the email address and, optionally, name you provide when you create an account.
- Training data — the programs, workouts, sets, weights, reps, session durations, effort ratings, and density scores you log in the app.
- Device & usage data — basic technical information (device type, app version, crash logs) used to keep the app working reliably.
- Purchase data — subscription and purchase status, processed and verified through Apple. We never see or store your payment card details.
How we use your information
- To calculate your Density Score and show your progress against your own previous sessions.
- To generate deload recommendations, Coach Notes, and (for Elite) AI-assisted program adjustments.
- To operate your account, process subscriptions, and provide support.
- To diagnose crashes and improve the app's reliability and features.
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use your training data to build public leaderboards or rank you against other users. Density is "you vs. you."
AI features
When you use AI-powered features (such as program generation or tuning), the relevant training details are sent to our AI provider (Anthropic) solely to produce your result. This data is not used to train third-party models. If you never use AI features, no training data is sent for AI processing.
How we share information
We share information only with service providers that help us run Density — for example, our hosting provider, Apple (for purchases), and our AI provider (for AI features) — and only to the extent needed to deliver the service. We may disclose information if required by law.
Data retention & your choices
- Your training data is retained while your account is active so your history and trends remain available.
- You can request a copy of your data or ask us to delete your account and associated data at any time.

Security
We use industry-standard measures to protect your data in transit and at rest. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to keep your information safe.
Children
Density is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, communicated in the app.
